Working with not-for-profit and purpose-driven organisations is not for everyone. It’s a specialty communications role that mixes creativity, empathy and practical experience to bring these dedicated organisations to life.

At Plural Communications, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with organisations that exist to make a difference – from community development and sustainability programs to social impact and industry advocacy. Our role is to help them tell their story in ways that inspire trust, attract funding, mobilise supporters and strengthen reputation.

Our experience in the not-for-profit sector is both broad and practical, spanning organisations that make a genuine difference in Queensland and across Australia.

Plural team members worked with Crime Stoppers Queensland to provide public relations, social media, content and creative services to support purpose-driven public campaigns. Our work included press releases, paid and organic social media campaigns, video content, and design assets that helped the organisation engage Queenslanders and drive public participation.

For Drug ARM, we delivered a significant website expansion, working closely with their communications team to redesign and streamline the user experience. The three-phase project involved a detailed sitemap, responsive UI design and stronger digital alignment to their marketing strategy, helping improve navigation, accessibility and brand consistency.

With Lives Lived Well, we supported the marketing and communications team to refresh and unify brand collateral. Plural developed an updated style guide, templates and visual assets to improve in-house efficiency and accessibility, along with a Business Prospectus that demonstrated impact through data and storytelling. The result was a more inclusive, cohesive and confident brand expression aligned with organisational values.

For QShelter, we refined the organisation’s positioning and tagline, created a new brand mark and comprehensive guidelines, and designed and built a website to serve as a central resource hub for the housing and homelessness sector. Our team also produced multiple annual reports, merchandise, signage and sub-branding for affiliated programs – all designed for accessibility, warmth and long-term scalability.

Beyond these core partnerships, Plural has also supported Broncos Community, Traction, Communify, CASPA, Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation, ChaplainWatch, Aussie Athlete Fund and the Committee for Brisbane – helping each to communicate their purpose through the right blend of strategy, content, design, digital and creative execution.

At Plural, we’re proud to use our skills to support those who are changing lives, communities and the environment for the better. If your organisation is planning its next campaign, looking to sharpen its message or ready to elevate its digital presence, we’d love to help you make it happen.
